First I will tell you what freedom is not - Freedom is not a license to do harm.  No American is free to steal.  No American is free to assault.  No American is free to impose… anything.  Freedom is not claiming to be a Sovereign and using that as an excuse to put your burdens on others.  Nor is freedom claiming to be a victim and using that as an excuse to lay your burdens upon others.  Freedom does not act unsafe in public.  Period.  End of chewy.

Okay, now that’s out of the way let’s talk about what freedom is:

 

Freedom is thinking unlimited things, but only acting on the limited ones.  Freedom is speaking your mind, not your emotions.  Freedom is walking wherever you may, unless it’s on someone else’s property.  Freedom is offering aid, without imposing help.  Freedom is asking a question, instead of demanding statements.  Freedom is “hello” and “goodbye.”  Freedom is “no.” as well as “yes.”  Freedom is free of the limitations of humans.  Freedom is life.  And life is pretty doggone important.

And lastly, freedom is doled out by parents to their children.  No child is ever born free.  We work ourselves into that role.
