Many are concerned that I have left the Dept. of Education out of my cabinet because education is not important to me.  That could not be farther from the truth.  Why should it be kept on and continue to be funded by American taxpayers when it is failing our children so miserably?

Here are some facts, in the last 50 years Americans went from being the smartest people to somewhere between mediocre and lost;  IQ’s have steadily dropped;  American children know literally nothing of their history, except the racist, sexist and xenophobic parts;  There are no critical thinking skills taught; Graduates cannot speak clearly, cannot write legibly, cannot perform simple math without a mechanical aid in their paw and cannot think for themselves.  All of which are requisites of a good education.

The Dept. of Education has become a department for indoctrination, where ideologies are put ahead of reading, writing and arithmetic.  And THAT AIN’T RIGHT.  The education system in America is like a boat in a storm with a sail, but no rudder.  Whichever way the wind blows, is the direction it will go.  And that ain’t right, either.

 

So what is there to do?  Our children deserve better.  And the boxer party believes that they should get it. 

 

Here’s what we believe should happen.  No teacher under the age of 40 should teach 6th grade and above (math, science and English, notwithstanding).  Our teachers need to have experience in life to teach about it.  Most teachers today are too young to have life experience and instead, teach indoctrination.  Meaning, they are teaching what they've been taught, instead of what they've lived.

 

America has a treasure trove of educational experience, in every older American, that can be passed on to our children.  And America has a ton of people who have lived their entire lives experiencing life, and those experiences need to be passed on.  Wisdom is not located in a human’s dna or on a blackboard.  You can only find wisdom in the classroom of life.

 

Secondly, all States will have competitions to find out who’s the smartest.  And we will celebrate them and motivate them to do good for their Nation.  And we will aid and support everyone else to become more than who they currently are.

 

All teachers will receive a grade based upon the grades of their students.  And that grade will be available to the parents.  And if it is found that the teachers are giving out the answers, to push up the grades, teaching will no longer be an option for you.  Our children are the future of America, and we take that very seriously.

 

It is time for our children to come FIRST.  Ahead of money, or social standing, or Teacher’s Unions, or whatever.  We are graduating uneducated Americans at an alarming rate.  These Americans are not ready for the world.  And these children are your future!  They have not been properly prepared and are destined to repeat previous errors.  It is why history teachers are so critical.  They are supposed to teach that 'this' has happened before, 'this' is what was done and 'this' is what should have been done to avoid it.  Unfortunately, history teachers get a collective F-, when it comes to teaching this.  Thus, history is destined to repeat.

Right now, in America, entire school districts of entire cities are graduating children who can’t read or write or critically think for themselves.  They have almost no saleable skills and expect everything to be given to them - like the good grades that they didn’t earn.

 

Teachers are not buddies.  Teachers are not friends.  Teachers are mentors.  They are the authority in the classroom and know more than their students.  Leading us to the greatest change that must come about,

 

the children must be removed from being in charge, and the adults must take back over.  

 

That is what we intend to do.
