HATRED

Hi, Fanny J. Squirrell here. And I have a question for you. Have you ever wondered where hatred comes from? I mean, really comes from. I know it often starts with something distasteful (literally or figuratively). Something inside is generated that causes discord and disharmony. It’s more than something in the gut, though, it’s also a FEELING. And it normally involves all the senses.
This feeling generally wells up over time, but as of late, I have witnessed that time has been cut short. It appears that the human emotion of hatred is now standing on guard, ready to defend and project itself outward. It never used to be this way. Americans didn’t used to immediately go off the deep end straight to screaming, yelling and destroying. And to think, I’m not very old. This is what recent elders have passed onto us.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Some scientific fact: The human brain consists of two hemispheres, right and left. The right hemisphere controls all emotions and feelings. The left hemisphere controls all logic and reason. It really can be broken down that simply. Not so long ago, logic and reason were the determining factors for life in America. You would think and look, before you leaped. You would consider the other before you did something that would affect them. You were a nation more likely to forgive than condemn. But those days are long gone.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Have you ever noticed, that in the history of all humans, not one baby was ever born hating? Not one baby has ever been born having pre-determined prejudices or racist tendencies or violent needs. Isn’t it fascinating that all babies are born absolutely ignorant to this world? They are completely capable of processing every language on the planet, but are incapable of speaking them. They are all born with the necessities to make it here, but none of them know how to do it. It appears to me that all babies are created first (albeit ignorant), and then through living life, they evolve. (Living life equates to our choices.)
So if we are not born hating, where does it come from?
Inside us. Always inside us. It filters in through your sitting at the dinner table listening to the adults ramble on. It further gets imbedded through your schools, where subjects are taught that make human hatred evolve. Then comes certain religions, which preach hatred of the bad, and praising of the good. And finally, the TV screen in your home or in the palm of your paw. (Which is responsible for more hatred than all the others combined.)
Although it may appear that all of this input is the cause of hatred, it is not. Hatred comes from within, based upon your desire to rid yourselves of something distasteful – and it ain’t goin’ away. In fact, it’s getting worse. Hatred is now being amplified everywhere, over every band of communication. It is permeating the air and airwaves and the people are responding to it using the right side of their brains. The consciousness of hatred is compounding and being amplified right through the palms of your paws.
If American humans were to use more of the left side of their brains, much of this would be seen for what it is and put in the ditch where it belongs.
You were not born hating, yet you do. That is something that is COMPLETELY within your power to rid yourself of. You have been programmed to believe and act in a certain fashion. Do not get angry over that, just realize it. Now you can leave that darkness and come back to the sunshine . But wait, your hatred is in you because you want it to be. After all, it’s justified. Let it go. There is no need for it anymore. You have the power to overcome and succeed. You always have. Hatred serves no good and has and always will, keep you right where you’re at. And the ancestors you can’t see are hoping that you’re looking down at the ditch.
We boxers don’t chase after evil to rid ourselves of it, because that would only bring MORE evil into our lives. Thus creating the exact opposite situation that we choose to live in. Evil and hatred are choices. They are not a mandatory way of life. And since they are a choice, choose to let them go. There are so many things in America that need peace and love and intelligence and competency.
Hatred has nothing in those.
