no socialism here

Please let it be known now and for all-time, the boxer party IS NOT a socialist party nor do we advocate any socialist ideals (or Marxist or communist, for that matter). With us, it’s freedom first and from that miracle, stems all other miracles.
Take a moment to think about why government was created in the first place. Wasn’t it created to protect The People and their liberties from those who would take them away? Wasn’t it created to do for The People what the people couldn’t do for themselves? Like protect our border and build roads and bridges and keep our money strong and make sure no one is infringing upon our God-given Rights? I mean, from what I can see (in my own doggy-vision), these things are inherent for all governments to do – first. Ahead of conquest. Ahead of retribution. Ahead of greed.
Don’t you think?
I mean, what is the purpose of all the taxes you’re paying? Isn’t it to help all Americans to live a less stressful life and take care of those things just mentioned in the paragraph above?
We, the boxer party, believe that the health and wellbeing of Americans comes ahead of killing foreigners and destroying foreign governments and creating chaos throughout the world… and in our own country. None of those shenanigans make any sense to me. How does war put food in your bowls or pay the bills or make life more peaceful and productive? And I’m not just talking about the wars going on that are using tanks and missiles.
It is not socialism for a government to help its people. It is not socialism for a country’s government to come to the aid of its people in times of emergency. Nor is it socialism for a government to do its best to alleviate the misery and suffering of its people. IT IS THE VERY PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT.
From a dog’s point of view, it appears that American humans have taken on a corporate, legalistic mentality. One that separates you from humanity based on words on a piece of paper. This allows for the justification of the horrors of war, without you humans having to FEEL the horrors of that war and the consequences of your decisions.
Corporations are the creation of the human mind. They have no body to try and no soul to condemn. They have no human feelings and only care about the bottom line – i.e. money. No thing is more important to a corporation than money. And because corporations have no soul, they can never make the connection between the corporation’s activities and the collateral damage caused by those activities to the Americans (and humans throughout the world) who now have to live with those “externalities.” And THAT AIN’T RIGHT.
Have you lost your feelings for Americans… and your fellow humans throughout your world? Have your hearts grown cold and judgments become final? Have you allowed a certain group of Americans to take away your morals and scruples and replace them with righteous indignation? Or maybe dog whistles?
My dad’s mom used to tell him, “Stevie, every time you point your finger there’s three more pointing right back at you.” I wouldn’t know that, I have paws, with no fingers to point. I’ve just heard him say that a lot. And humans, I think there’s something to that.
If you are pointing at and arguing to lock up the homeless, there will come a day when you will be locked up for that very reason. If you are willing to sweep Americans away because they are useless consumers and not useful producers, you too, one day, will be escorted away for the same reason. If you cannot make the connection to those around you that we are all family, then you will be sequestered away by those who do not see you as family.
In this place we get what we give. It is immutable and non-negotiable. Let’s start giving our best. And that starts with taking care of our own, first, while we stop killing others.
